Netflix recently launched That ‘90s Show, featuring the offspring of the main characters in That ‘70s Show. So, the gang is finally back! But how have the actors changed over the years? Let’s find out! Below, you’ll find out more about actors playing the leading roles in the all-time favorite series. Check out how they rose to fame and what roles they played after the memorable TV series ended.
Topher Grace (Eric Forman)
Topher Grace had little to no experience acting before he became Eric Forman. The awkward and neurotic guy dropped out of college to join the cast of That ‘70s Show. Following the end of the TV series, he went on to play the supervillain in Spider-Man 3. Currently, he features in an ABC family sitcom called Home Economics.
Laura Prepon (Donna)
Laura Prepon began her career modeling at the age of 15. She even moved to Milan, which is where she got the acting bug inside her head. Briefly acting in New York, she landed the role of Donna Pincioti in That ‘70s Show. Following the show’s end, the actress went on to star in the comedy Are You There, Chelsea. She also played in Netflix’s comedy-drama Orange Is the New Black. Her return as the no-nonsense feminist Donna in That ’90s Show is her first acting credit since 2019.
Mila Kunis (Jackie)
People already knew who Mila Kunis was long before she became Jackie Burkhart. She appeared on shows like Days of Our Lives and Baywatch before slamming her breakout role at the age of 15. The casting directors of That ‘70s Show liked the actress so much that they even made an exception for her and gave her the role, even though she wasn’t 18 at the time. Following the series’ end in 2006, Kunis had amassed an incredible filmography. She has received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Black Swan.
Ashton Kutcher (Michael Kelso)
Just like Prepon, Ashton Kutcher began his career with modeling. He participated in commercials for Calvin Klein. His role as Michael Kelso in That ‘70s Show was his first acting job, and he hasn’t looked back since then. His career is mixed with hilarious sitcoms, mind-bending movies, and more. He played in Two and a Half Men.
That ‘70s Show’s Storyline
The TV series focuses on the lives of six teenagers and their coming of age in Wisconsin. As the name suggests, the comedy series is set in the 1970s. In 1999, the series was remade for the UK public as Days Like These, featuring almost identical phrases to the original series.
